Hello internet...

I am sitting here watching the Storage Wars. It's a crazy show were people bid on storage units that have been abandoned with the contents left in. Some times the stuff that is left behind is crazy. Cars, pictures all sorts of things..if you have the chance to watch it give it a try.

I am working on an embrodiry project for my daughters room. It is silver pillowcases with disco balls on them I am about half way through the first one and really enjoying having a project to do again.

I very excited to start the 30 days of list projects. I am going to make my book for it this weekend. I am thinking that I will use binder rings and card stock and different coloured pages...I am hoping to have some pics of my work this weekend.

As I sit here at work i wonder...were did go wrong...I have a job I don't particularly enjoy...I have a daughter who doesn't make the best choices...My husband and I have bought this new house that is fairly large and sometimes I wonder why...and to top it all off my husband and I are trying to have a baby...

I am just having a hard time at the moment keeping it all together.

Does anyone have any suggestions????

How are you all doing out there....Hopefully the weather is a wonderful for you as it is for us here....The sun is shining and has been for a couple of days now...Sooo Awesome...

Today my husband and I are going to go pay for our lighing for our new house...Sooooo exciting. They have said that we are a bit ahead of schedule so we may be in our house sooner then we origianlly though. Which is AWESOME...I am sooo looking forward to the new house...the size of it alone is going to be perfect...

I will be starting one of the projects from my emboridery class this weekend. I am thinking it would be a good thing to teach the girls. It is a neat little lantren made out of a mason jar. I will put pics up when it is done...

Good evening Internet,

Today was a pretty good day. I had a meeting with my boss she is going to help me figure out what I want in life. It's crazy at 36 years old I still have no idea. All in all it was a pretty good day.

Still worried about my daughter she is so in a place she doesn't want to be but has no idea how to get away.

I ordered a couple of things for embroidery today. I got a little carried away. Got some thread and a couple of tools.. I am very excited to get them in the mail. I have just about finished the project I was working on then I'm not sure if I want to start a new one or wait until mollie's class starts...more then likely I will wait cause I am still very slow just getting back at it.

So I ask you Internet what would you do with your life if you had nothing holding you back?

Hello Internet,

I have joined a couple of different projects to try this month. The first is a 30 day journaling challenge (which i am behind on already but I will be getting caught up this weekend. I have done these a couple of times and it is a lot of fun.

The second is an embroidery class that will give us ideas on how to be creative with our projects. I am looking forward to getting back in to embroidery again. I haven't really done any projects for about 20 years...holy...not sure why I stopped. probably time. so with the class I signed up for I will be learning a few new things. :)

I will try to keep you updated on all the projects that I have going on. In the mean time.....DFTBA

Pondering

Today I am wondering "Where did I go wrong? Did I give her to much love? Did I not love her enough?" My daugher is 18 and pregnant again. she has chossen to keep it and get married to the father. I know that she needs to find her own way and that I need to let her lose but it is extremely hard. I love her with all that I am. How to leave them to fall when you know that they need to and then know that they will come back to you. One of my biggest fears is that he will take her away from us completly.

Anyway enough about that I am going to go into a dark place if I over analyse it. And that will not be a fun place to be.

THis weekend I am going to our cabin. We are taking our granddugher with us so it will be a fun weekend. I am looking forward to the nice weather and the good company. I just wish my daughter was there with us. Oh well what can you do?

Cake....

Good morning Internet,

This weekend was a busy one....Cake...Cookies....Cake...Cookies...with a smattering of Mickey Mouse in there...

Cake
My daugher was asked to bake a cake for a Girl Guide event so we started the process on Thursday night with baking the cake. Then Friday the fun started. Yetikid started the decorating with the last bit of cake was put in the oven to bake. We had lots of fun hanging out with both Izzy and Yetikid. Our efforts were well received. I was sooo very proud of her. There were things that we will have to change for the next time she does a cake like this but all in all it was awesome. You can see for yourself the pictures below.

Cookies
We sold cookies at Canadian Tire with our Pathfinder group this weekend. It was crazy cold and snowy. We were all in winter parkas and long johns cause it was so cold were we were. We are outside in front of the building and there is no sun only shade so it feels about 10 degrees colder then it acctually is outside. But even with the cold we did not to bad we sold 31 cases which is just able 3/4s of our cookies we need to sell.

House Update
Our house that we are having built is moving along pretty well. My husband and a few of our friends were there this weekend doing the low voltage wireing. They managed to get it done in 2 days. According to my husband that is only step one of a 7 (I think) step process. The rest of the house is ready for insulation so that should be going in soon.. Man do things ever feel like they are going crazy fast.

It's been a long time since I have been here and I know I say that almost every time I am here but this time will be different. I want to make an effort to write at least once a week. I figure if I make an effort and want to I should be able to do that.....

I have been sick the last couple of days. Got a head cold from my granddaughter. She is getting better I am getting worse but I know it will get better soon.

I have joined picture inspiration with Tracy Clark she is a great photographer and I think it will help me with my self esteem issues. I would love to be able to be a photographer and in order to get there I need to be willing to put my work out there. This week is all about you...I haven't taken my picture because of the red nose that I have been sporting for the last week but that will change soon....

Good morning Internet,

Hope all is well with everyone out there. Today I decided I just wanted to ramble. My daughter is turning 18 in about a week and holy moly does it ever make me feel like I am getting old. I know I am not old at all but some days if feels like it. Other times I wish I could go out to the bar with her. I love to dance (not much for drinking a couple of bear through the night is all I need) but for me to go to the bar with her I would be cramping her style. You know how kids are....LOL

My mom and I are going out to our cabin tomorrow morning for the night we need to pack some things up before the winter frezz comes in and recks everything. The mess we would have to clean up if all our pop cans or beer bottles burst because they froze. You see we don't have central heating in our cabin only a wood stove. It works really well when we are their to stooke it but doesn't work very well if it is not getting any wood.

I have started my photography class. I feel a little over my head and scared that I will not do as well as the people in my class. I am going to plug along with it becuse I need to face the fear....At least that is what I keep telling myself.

First off I have to say I have an alergy to all cored and pitted fruits. It really sucks because at one time I did not have this allergy and I really miss the taste of a fresh juicy apple just off the tree. With that out of my system. My husband and grand daughter humoured me in doing a Photo shoot in our back yard. Below are my favorite pics out of the shoot. Let me know what you think.

Well today is a day filled with coffee and NO sunshine. It is very smokey here as the winds have brought it over from BC. Hopefully all the rain we get this weekend (or are supposed to get) will bring it down a bit.

30 Day Journal challenge

Hello Internet...

Off to a great start on the challenge......Man 3 days in and I am already behind...I am hoping that the weekend will give me a few days to catch up and then be on the right track come Monday. I am really liking the prompts they have been fun. Drawing out my creativity which is why I joined in the first place.

I am not sure about showing anyone my pages yet thought as they will look like a 6 year old did them...But I guess that is the part of the purpose of this...to break out of my shell so once I am done I will just have to "pull the bandaid of quick" and put the pages up.

I am going to Capital ex tonight with my Husdand, daughter and granddaughter. My Husband doesn't really want to go but we are dragging him along anyway. I think it will be a great time.

It was my birthday on Sunday. I spent the day with my mom out at our cabin cleaning it up for this weekend. It is typically a party weekend should be fun. even if I am getting old...LOL

Goals for this week:

Post pics of my journal pages
Edit Mad and Morg's engagement pics
Get signed up for Photography class in the fall

30 Day Journal Challenge

Good morning Internet,

As I sit here at work on this dizmal day. (it has been raining non stop the the past 24 hours) I think that I haven't stopped in here for a while. Below is an update....

We went on our trip with the girl guides. It was a great time the girls were awesome. I was happy to see another part of Canada.
Work is still not for me...My job that is...I like to work I just wish it was something i really enjoyed doing
They seem to have missplaced a projector here at work. I am not sure how you can to that but it has been done.
Alexis got a Job at Winners. She starts today.
Izabella is walking and talking more and more as the days go on.
I have started going to Weight Watchers again....I am still not really ready for that but it is time to kick myself in the butt.
I have joined a 30 Journal challenge. It looks like fun. I have always wanted to keep a journal and never have because I thought that they were just for writing and I am not a very good writer. In this challenge it looks like you can put anything in your journal ie doodles, paining, collage....It will be a fun journy to take.

So today we will be having our final meeting with parents and girls. We leave in 6 days...man I can not beleive it has come this quick. I remember when we were just starting to plan 3 years ago. Crazy...

We are going to Montreal, Qubec and Ottawa. I think it will be fun I know that the girls will have fun travel is new to most of them.

On the home front all is going as it has been for the last couple of months. Nothing to exciting to talk about. We still don't have a builder. Things seem to be at a stand still. I can not wait until plans start. I am looking forward to a new kitchen were I can accually cook. Man would that be a concept.

Anyway now that I have jumped all over the place and made no sense...

Hello Internet....

How are you doing? I have come to a revelation. I am not happy with myself or the job that I am in. This has been coming on for a while. So I have decided to take the steps to fix it.

I will be working out 3 times a week
I will try to stay away from the junk food ie eat more subway instead of Wendy's
I will take a few courses in photography. I really enjoy it and might like to do it for a living.
I will figure out my PA to include Adult learning in my learning plan.

That is enough things to change for now. As I think that these will take me a while to make them happen.

Hello Internet....

I really loved the idea of taking a photo everyday for 365 days but man has it ever been hard. I just don't have the time to do it at this point in life. I think I am going to change my project to the 52 week project. I still want to participate but only able to commit to the once a week thing. In doing it this way I can post, say, my favorite 5 of the week and not feel like they all have to be from a different day.

So starting today I am going to start working on my Project 52. I really hope I can keep up with it...Come back in the future and check up on me I will hopefully have some pics that will entertain, make you think or just connect with you in some way or another.

Hello All...

I will start by saying that I am behind already with the 365 project I have pics for Monday and for Wed but did not get any for Tuesday or Thursday. I am not going to worry about it just try harder to bring my camara everywhere I go that way I will hopefully not forget that I need to take the pics. I will post the ones I have sometime tonight.

I started Snowboarding on Wed. Oh man is it hard and it scares the Hell out of me. So needless to say when the instrutor brought us up the hill I looked down and said you want me to do what????? I was shaking in my boots thinking what if I loose control and run into all the little kids...I could really hurt someone. I have to say that my instructor was a very pacient soul. He just encouraged me along and said you can do it. SO...down the hill I went very slowly with him in front of me for the sucurity. I made it down with out falling...Yahoo I thought...Then I look up the hill and think why was I soo scard. It was hard being the first time and all but why am I so scard. I think that as we get older we think of all the things that could go wrong and forget to have fun. I am not saying that I am still not shaking in my booties on that top of that hill but I don't what that to stop me from doing it. I have made a packed with myself that I will make it to the bottem of that hill without needing the instructor in front of me by the end of the 5wk lesson and maybe someday I will be able to concure the bunny runs in the mountians.

I AM SICK OF MY FEAR STOPING ME FROM DOING THINGS.

Remember you are strong. You are capable and you are resilient. Take all the challenges you are handed and face them head on. You can overcome them. Remember that you need some time for you to create. In order to recharge your soul.

Remember to spend time with your husband to renew the love each and every day...

Take a break from it all now and then.

If it all gets to overwhelming take a step back and reassess what you can do to face it.

And most of all remember that in order to be you need to be all the you you can be..
I know it kinda sounds like I am Dr Seuss who by the way is one of my favorite children's writers.

Ok I would first like to wish everyone out there a Happy New Year. I am going to have to agree with a lot of other people out there in the internet "This is the year for possiblities"

Snowboarding Lessons with a friend from work

That covers Jan and Feb...We will have to see what the following months will bring me.

Ok so it is now only 2 1/2 days before christmas. I have to find something for my mother still. Man is she ever hard to buy for. I would like to get my husband a couple of different things. On top of that I need to get some stocking stuffers for all the family.

I feel that this year is going to be a good year. We will be having a lot of fun with family and friends.

SO it is Monday and I am at work thinking HMMMM there has to be a greater purpose for me to be here then to just copy and paste from one doc to the next......

It has been a great look into myself. I have figured out that I am not all that happy with my work life. Home life is alright Husband is great...Daughter is a teen what can you do???...Anyway in going though her class I am more aware of what is around me. In going through photo and writing assignments I have had to look inside myself to see what is acctually there. I has been quite a journey tt will continue for a long time as I have just scrached the surface of my unravelling.

Hello Internet,

Things going on with me....

Work is going nuts...Lots to do so many changes coming.

Life has been crazy. My mother and I are catering for a camp this weekend so I have been crazy busy getting ready for that.

My daughter is being a teenager. She still thinks she knows everything. But I think that there is a small light at the end of the tunnel. She still talks to me so that is a good thing.

My granddaughter is a beautiful little bug that has a whole bunch of us wrapped around her little finger.

I have started an online class called Unravelling. I am doing it for a bit of self discovery.

Our first task has been a fun one as well as difficult. The online community that is part of the class looks like it is going to be a good group. I can feel some tears, laughter and discovery coming on.

Enough babbling for the day.

Well it has been a while since I was here there has been a lot of things going on.

Izabella is now 3 months. She is such a cute little muffin. Loves to smile.

We did a bottle drive for a fundraiser for our guide unit. It was messy and hard but well worth it. I think we will be doing another one in the next couple of months.

We had a bridal shower for my cousin Faye-Ann. What a good time we all had. It was all the girs in our family minus one. Below are a few pictures of the fun we had...

Weekend

Happy Thursday everyone...

My weekend last weekend was great. I looked after my little Izabella on Friday night. I also had her for most of the day on Saturday while we were with my cousin doing wedding favors. It was a good day. For the evening my mom took her. While my husband and I went out for dinner and a movie. We did this insted of Capital Ex because it was way to hot ouside for us to enjoy it. So in going out for dinner and a movie we excaped to air conditioned buildings. so for dinner we went ot Origanal Joe's they have great Burgars. For the movie we went to Transformers 2. It was AWESOME. I have always loved a good action movie. THe only thing that would have made it a better day is if my daughter had joined us for at least part of it. On sunday one of my cousins had a family bbq potluck in the park so mom and I went to that for a bit. It was nice to see people that I haven't seen in a really long time.

This weekend we are going out to our cabin for the Annual Aug Long family bash. It will be fun some slipin and slidin, some goofing around on the beach, some singing around the fire and some awesome food. oh and can't forget the fireworks.

Well tomorrow is my 35th birthday. I have a lot planned for this weekend...

I am babysitting the cutest baby on earth tonight so her mom can go to the new Harry Potter...

Then I am also babysitting for a bit on Saturday while her mom goes to Capital Ex.

I am going to be going to Jo's house to make wedding favors with Jo, Faye and mom for Faye's wedding. This should be a good time. I am also hoping we can go to the site for the wedding so that I can see what I have to work with for photos. I forgot to tell you I will be the photographer for Faye and Dave's wedding and Ian will be the master of ceremonies (perfect job for him)

Once that is done Ian and I will be going to Capital Ex for the Thornley Concert and maybe to check some things out around the grounds. MINI DONUTS YUM.....

On Sunday I may go to a picnic for my cousins birthday. Not sure yet that depends on how tired I am after all the stuff that is going on on Saturday....

These are all just possible things that I will be doing this weekend except for the babysitting that is for sure.

I will let you know how it goes with some pics next week sometime.

2nd Annual Road Trip

My daughter and I decided last year that we would like to take a road trip every year on the weekend of Canada day. Last year we went to Kalispell Montana this year we went to Seattle Washington. This year we had my mom and little baby Izabella with us. It was a great trip all around. We hit a deer, did some shopping, did some touring and lots and lots of walking. THe pics below are just a smattering of what we did. Enjoy.

This was the only way I could think of to show the construction. We were lined up for ever on a few of the roads. A trip that should have taken 4 hours took 6.

This is the coolest rose I have ever seen. There was about 12 of them they were 9.50 per rose so cool.

That is just a little view of our trip. It was all around a good trip a few blips in the radar. But it wouldn't be any fun without the blips.

So division camp is done. It was a great time for the girls. We even got a girl that wanted to join our group because she had so much fun with my girls, myself and the other leader in our unit. That is a good thing I think. We had large 15 person tent with 12 girls in it (I am not sure how you could fit 15 in it but that is what it said. The weather was awesome. the food was delisious. A good time was had by all.

Alexis and I went to our cake decorating class yesterday it was fun. Poor Alexis she just had a train wreck. Her cake slid in the carrier and then when she tried to put the transfer on it stuck to the cake. I think it still turned out pretty good. All in all it was a fun night out with my daughter. I will put some pics up of camp and the cake some time later this week.

Last night was a great night. We had an art show with our guide troupe. The put their artwork all around outside. The girls were very excited to show their parents the work that they had done. After that was done I went home to hang out with some girls that were in my guide group but are now leaders. We watched Pretty in Pink. It is an awesome movie with molly ringwald. It is an 80's classic.

Tonight I will be babysitting the little runt and taking my nephew to Scout camp. Then selling cookies tomorrow. Hopefully that will be the last of the cookies. 140 cases is way to many to sell with only 5 girls that are willing to help. Once the cookies are sold it is time to start looking into our trip to PEI. The girls are going to love that. IF anyone has any funraising ideas please let me know we are always looking for different ways to do it as the girls would like to be able to raise about 3/4 of their trip.

Baby is here....

Little Izabella Joanna arived on May 12, 2009 at 9:51 am. It brought on mixed emotions for me. I am happy that all went well for my daughter..the delivery was easy...she has bounced back pretty quickly....Little baby is doing well...already holding her head up...

But for all the joy I can't help but feel lost. My daughter doesn't really need me anymore. She is way to focused on her boyfriend. She has given up her childhood for him and I don't think she can see it that way. Enough about that....

My husband asked me this morning "why don't you post your pictures. You go around everywhere snaping cool pictures and you don't share...." I wonder why this is...So I have decided that I will share my pictures here on this blog...even if nobody reads it I am sharing them for all to see....

Well today was a pretty good day. We worked a hot dog sale to raise funds wifor the Easter Seals. It was at campers village they were having a grad reopening. We were able to sell cookies as well but didn't sell all the many only a case and a half. Around 5 the in-laws along with my side of the family descended upon my place for a BBQ. Great food good company great mothers day.

Had quite a good weekend. We sold cookies at Canadian Tire Saturday and Sunday. Sold about 50 cases only have about 60 more to sell. The girls already sold about 30 cases of cookies doing door to door.

We are working our way to a trip we want to take to PEI.

My daughter is in labour at the moment we are at 12 min apart. Going to be a long night.

Well this weekend I went to my first Training/Camping Workshop. I didn't really learn very much it was more for the trainers as they decided at the last minute to combine the 2 groups. It was a good time though. Lots of laughs to be had.

I learnt a new song called One Voice it was a nice song. I can imagine it being sang in a really large group and hearing it start out with one voice singing and then adding another batch of people and anthor a bit at a time until the whole group has joined in singing the song then it ends again with the one voice... GOOSE BUMB material.

Off to get some work done. Had a spreadsheet to do for work tomorrow...can't seem to get myself to get at it.....

Sitting here watching Mama Mia...Awesome movie...fun to sing along with.

I have signed myself up to color my hair for cancer. I am going Blue I think...I have always wanted to do it now I have a good cause to do it for...

I am going out to our cabin tomorrow with mom to have a look and see what we will need to bring out for when we officially open it up for the summer. I am hoping we can get into it as it has been quite a snowy year at the cabin.

Lots of things have happened since the last time I wrote.

We went to the lake to open up the cabin for the summer.

My Uncle Vern passed away.

I am doing a temp job for a place called Trimac. Not to exciting but it is a job. I also had an interview with Alberta parks and rec. not to sure how that went but I guess I will see at the end of the week when they call.

Alexis got her braces. Don't they look cute. She got pink elastics cause pink is her favorite colour.

So it was mothers day yesterday. My daughter gave me the best card. She said that it took her hours to find it.

For part of the day today we sold cookies at Canadian Tire. We did pretty good, sold 9 Cases.

So we only have 4 out of 30, left to sell not to bad for only having 2 girls and 2 leaders in our unit. Our girls have been working pretty hard to be able to go on some sort of a trip this year.

Then in the evening we went over to my aunts place for Chinese food for mothers day with the family. Half of us were there. It was nice I spent some time with my grandma and played some vids with my cousins.

It turned out to be a pretty good day. :)

Trial run

We went on a trial run for our trip to Europe yesterday. We met at Boston Pizza with our packs packed and ready to go. It was a gruelling trip all over the city. There was a couple of rock hard men for the girls to check out and get pics with. Some complanents of how heavy their packs were (I think they may leaving some of their stuff behind) also some new happy memories for the girls to talk about with their friends.

It defenatly made the trip seem alot closer. Only 47 more days before we leave.
